We’re excited to kick off the Radiant Blockchain Hackathon, happening exclusively online from October 2 to October 22, 2024.

Join developers, creators, and innovators from around the world in shaping the future of decentralized technology on the Radiant network.

When & Where?
- Dates: October 2— October 22, 2024
- Location: Online, with the main communication hub on our Discord.

You can already join the hackathon channels and start connecting!

- Hackathon-Lounge: Find a team, share tips, and brainstorm ideas! Keep your notifications on here for important updates.
-Hackathon-Projects: Once the hackathon starts, teams will document their progress and interact in their own forum-like posts.

Prizes
- Total Prize Pool: 10 million RXD

— 1st Place: 3,000,000 RXD
— 2nd Place: 2,000,000 RXD
— 3rd Place: 1,000,000 RXD

-Community Choice Award: 1,000,000 RXD- Could go to a top 3 project if so chosen, will be done by community voting

-Special Awards & Bounties: Over 3,000,000 RXD for exceptional projects and bounties completed successfully

Categories & Bounties
Participants can join solo or as a team to tackle the following challenges:

🪄 dApp Development: Build decentralized applications and push the limits of innovation on the Radiant network.

🛠️ Tooling: Create new tools to enhance Radiant’s blockchain functionality.

🔗 Interoperability: Work on connecting Radiant with other blockchain systems.

Wish list items and bounties can include:
— Enhanced indexers
— Advanced RXD/Token explorers
— Multi-GPU token mining software
— Complex tokenomics for glyphs
— P2P token and Radiant transactions using PBSTs
— Privacy coins, stable coins, and decentralized exchanges
— DEX/Atomic swaps/bridges
— Shopping/reward apps, lottery apps, storage apps, game apps
— Easy-to-use node/electrum software with a GUI and Windows support
— App development, Tooling, and Wallets

You can also propose your own ideas and bounty in the general hackathon chat!

Documentation & Proof of Concepts
Participants are encouraged to enhance or create developer documentation and build proof-of-concepts or code examples that showcase the Radiant network. Contributions should be submitted via GitHub pull requests in the relevant repositories.

Can I Join with an Existing Project?
Yes, you can join with a pre-existing project, but only the progress made during the hackathon will be considered for evaluation.

Submission Process
Once you’ve chosen your project, create a post in the Hackathon-Projects channel with your project name as the title. You’ll document your progress here and can ask for help or advice.
At the end of the hackathon, submit a link to your work via the official submission form (available in early October).

Communication Hub
For the duration of the hackathon, the main communication hub will be the Hackathon Forum on Discord. Teams will also have access to dedicated sub-channels for discussion, progress reporting, and collaboration. Ping us for a Hackathon dev role to stay involved!

Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be judged on the following:

- Implementation: Does the interaction with Radiant demonstrate quality software development?
- From Idea to Finish: Does the final output match the initial idea announced at the beginning?
- UX/Design: Is the user experience and design well thought out?
- Potential Impact:** How significant is the potential impact of the project on the Radiant ecosystem?
- Quality of Idea: How creative and unique is the project?

Hackathon Rules
- Age & Legal Requirements: Participants must be at least 18 years old or meet the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
- Adherence to Goals: Projects should align with the hackathon’s categories and Radiant’s ecosystem. If any questions about this ask in the chat.
- Progress & Development: Only work completed during the hackathon will be considered for judging.

Where to Submit?
Teams will submit their projects by providing links to their code repositories. You can also include text, videos, audio, or any relevant materials to demonstrate your project.
